Individuals must be registered in Georgia and have insurance on the vehicle to qualify. Those who already have a license
plate may purchase this new MSU car tag now. Simply pay the initial one-time $26.50 ($25 manufacturing fee plus a $1.50
processing fee), required by Georgia law for new specialty plate orders. You will receive documents, along with your e-mail,
which you will take to your local county tag office, where a $35 specialty tag fee will be due.
Please note the $20 annual tag fee and any applicable ad valorem tax and other fees imposed by Georgia may be due
depending on each individual vehicle's status within that state. After you have paid all appropriate fees at your local county
tag office, you will receive a temporary use permit and your MSU plate will arrive in 5-7 business days via mail.
