The mission of the Atlanta Chapter of the Mississippi State University (MSU) Alumni Association is to foster and enhance the relationship between MSU, alumni, current and prospective students, and friends in the city of Atlanta and surrounding areas.
The Atlanta Alumni Association is an approximately 600-member organization. Your yearly gift to the MSU Foundation’s Annual Fund or the Bulldog Club automatically makes you a member. Your active membership and participation in our association events helps us achieve our goals and objectives.
Members get together regularly to enjoy various social events. These include game watching events, Young Alumni and Young at Heart events, visits by representatives from the University, Atlanta’s “Mississippi in the Park” summer event, and our annual Send-Off Party for incoming and prospective MSU students.
Most of our activities during the year help fund our Scholarship and Recruiting Fund. Each year, the Atlanta Alumni Association awards scholarships to select high school students from Atlanta and surrounding areas in the state who have been accepted by Mississippi State University.

Our University is well on its way to meeting MSU President Dr. Mark Keenum’s goal of 22,000 students by 2015. The University had a record enrollment of 20,424 students in 2011, enabling us to further strengthen our status as the largest university in the state.
In the latest edition of Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine, Mississippi State continues among the “100 Best Values in Public Colleges.” Mississippi State is the only public University in the Magnolia State cited in the national publication’s annual survey.
